We began rehearsals for the UPT / Mendocino College production of "The Man Who Came To Dinner" yesterday evening. A big cast, with 13 of the 15 present and reading ... this was our first read-through of the play. We sat in a circle and read our way through, and I read in the missing parts.
We also discussed the process of moving through rehearsals to performance, and our "dramaturg" Deborah Edelman gave us some background on the play. Today we'll begin table work: Working through the play page by page to be sure we understand who's who and what's what.
"The Man Who Came To Dinner" performs May 8th through May 31st, 2008.
